Motoring Technique

Started in the late 1960s by Ivor Mitchell, MOTEK School of Motoring is one of the longest established driving schools in the area. When the school first began, it was mainly learner drivers who were catered for. Since then, the success of the business has been well proven and many other driving development opportunities are offered. This includes off-road instruction for 16 year olds, through to advanced lessons.

Liz Mitchell specialises in the advanced instruction. Liz is the holder of an LGV Class 1 licence, DIA and RoSPA diplomas and a Further and Adult Education (F&AEd) Teaching Certificate. In addition to this, Liz is a qualified Skid-Car UK Instructor. Recently, Liz has broadened her skills to include the areas of counselling, and is now qualified. She specialises with clients traumatised by road or driving related incidents.

Like all learning institutes, driving schools and their success rates are closely watched. Both Ivor and Liz can confidently say that they consistently attain a first time pass rate that is far in excess of the national average.
